After growing up in Utah and graduating from BYU in Broadcast Journalism, Nicea DeGering became the Crime Reporter atABC4 at the young age of 23. She then anchored the ABC4 Weekend News and early mornings on AM Express.
When Good Things Utah debuted in October of 2022, Nicea moved from the news desk to the entertainment/lifestyle beat where she has had the great privilege of interviewing everyone from the latest Bachelorette to Mitt Romney, Garth Brooks and all the inspiring every day Utahns in between. Nicea has interviewed guests live from the Sundance Film Festivals to locations in Hawaii, Disneyland and on the set of Dancing With The Stars. In 2023, she was named one of Utah's 40 Over 40 accomplished women to watch in our state.
She's been the spokesperson for brands like: Utah Honda Dealers, Fieldstone Homes, America First Credit Union, Cache Valley Creamery and BOSS Retirment Solution. She has emceed events for: Energy Solutions, Utah Restaurant Assoc, Womin In Tech, Miss Utah, Prevent Child Abuse Utah, Big Brothers Big Sisters and many more.
